Why Animal Crossing is the Perfect Game for Stoners

Why Animal Crossing is the Perfect Game for Stoners

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re aware that right before Thanksgiving, Nintendo finally released the long awaited addition to its beloved Animal Crossing series, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. If you’re anything like me, you’ve been playing it pretty much nonstop for over a week now. Though Pocket Camp is severely limited in terms of gameplay, at least compared to the original Animal Crossing, and Animal Crossing: New Leaf, this game is seriously addicting. It’s also the perfect game for stoners. Here’s why.

It’s Super Chill

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is one of the most relaxing games I’ve played in a long time. There’s no fighting involved and there’s no competition. You just run around and get stuff for various adorable animals all the while building a relationship with them. Then they give you gifts. It’s got an incredibly positive message about reciprocity. You also get to design and set up your own campsite and camper, which is pretty cool.

If anything, this game teaches great stoner etiquette. Pack a bowl for a friend in need, and they will surely return the favor in kind.

It’s Also Fun to Play While High

Animal Crossing is fun (not to mention easy) to play while you’re baked. It requires almost no thought, and the instant gratification you get from helping your animal friends releases even more dopamine, thus enhancing your stone. It’s the best for unwinding after a long day at the office, workin’ for the man. Try smoking a good indica, like Purple Kush, then settling in for a nice relaxing evening of picking fruit and fishing.

Though it’s Addicting, You Won’t Spend Hours on it

The neat thing about the way Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is designed, is that your animal friends only request so many things every few hours. This means that you can put the game down and do other things without fear of missing out. In other words, it won’t eat up your entire day.

It’s a Highly Social Game

Pocket Camp allows you to befriend other players, visit their campsites, and buy things from them. Get your group of friends to all start playing. Then you can help each other out by selling each other items you need, or send each other screenshots of funny moments. I have a group of friends on Twitter that are all playing this game, and it is so much fun. We have a group chat set up strictly for this game and we’re constantly sending each other jokes and things. It’s the best. As the highly social stoner that you are, you should get in on this.

You can download Animal Crossing in the App Store and on Google Play
